On June 25, 2026, Know Your Ride attended the Pedal Forward Eastside E-Bike Try & Apply Event at the Issaquah Community Center. The event gave residents an opportunity to explore different e-bikes, take test rides, collect commute and safety resources, and receive help with rebate applications.
For Know Your Ride, the event was an opportunity to bring the initiative beyond the website and into a community setting. Throughout the evening, Know Your Ride introduced the resource to residents, shared its focus on e-bike education and safety, and listened to the questions and experiences people brought with them.
The event also created an opportunity to speak with Stacy Vynne McKinstry, Sustainability Manager for the City of Issaquah, about e-bike access, community awareness, and the role clear information can play as e-bikes become a more common transportation option.
Making e-bikes more accessible is an important step. Helping riders understand the bike, the route, the rules, and the responsibilities that come with riding is an important part of that progress too.
Access opens the door, and education helps families ride through it with confidence.
